At our Feldenkrais retreat, movement and mindfulness come together to create a holistic experience. Effort and stress are replaced by lightness. Familiar movement patterns can easily be converted into simpler alternatives. Through conscious movement, you will develop a sense of security and self-confidence.     No matter how old you are and what previous knowledge you have, you will be rewarded with inner peace and greater resilience.

    Course details

    The course can be booked as an independent package (see prices below) or individually for other stays during the offer period (from three nights).

    Pure course fee: 220 euros (for individual bookings)

    Scope: 6 qigong hours of 60 minutes each. An additional hour (90 minutes) can be booked individually for a fee.

    Start: On the day of arrival at 4:30pm

    Minimum number of participants: 6 people

    What is Feldenkrais?

    The Feldenkrais Method is a mindful approach to rediscovering your body. It is based on the idea that we often move in unconscious patterns that use up more energy than necessary. Gentle and unusual movements encourage communication between the body and nervous system. Tension gives way to lightness, and automatism gives way to conscious perception.

    In contrast to traditional training methods, the Feldenkrais Method does not seek to improve performance or fitness. The exercises encourage you to explore movements slowly and playfully, without pressure. In doing so, the nervous system learns to find more efficient alternatives. Many participants report feeling freer, more upright and calmer after a Feldenkrais lesson, as their bodies have reorganised themselves more naturally.

    The method is neither therapy nor a sports programme, but a learning process. It is possible to learn at any age, and it leads to greater body awareness, inner peace and self-confidence in a completely relaxed way.

    What is Feldenkrais good for?

    1. For more ease of movement: Feldenkrais helps to reduce unconscious effort. When practicing, many people discover that everyday movements such as getting up, turning, and walking can be much easier and more elegant when the body is less compensating and more coordinated.

    2. To solve tension patterns: The fine movement impulses relieve overloaded areas and release tensions naturally. The body returns to a balanced movement tone — completely without manipulation or force.

    3. To reduce stress: When movements become easier, internal tension often decreases as well. Feldenkrais promotes a nervous system that calms down more quickly, reacts more mindfully and responds less to stressful stimuli.

    4. To promote mental clarity: The calm atmosphere of the lessons creates moments when the mind becomes clearer and tidier. Many suddenly experience more concentration or inner serenity because body and mind feel as one again.

    5. For a better body feeling: Feldenkrais is ideal for people who want to be friendlier to their bodies again. By “mindful feeling”, you develop a positive and secure sense of your own range of motion.

    6. Suitable for all ages: The method can be individually adjusted — lying down, sitting or standing. This benefits people of all ages, from active professionals to senior citizens who want more mobility.
