Felke tradition in Menschels

The concept of the traditional Felke Cure dates back to Emanuel Felke (1856 - 1926), pastor by profession and healer by vocation. Emmanuel Felke developed an active holistic concept from the primal energies of the universe, light, air, water and earth, focusing on the healing power of clay

Cures to Felke

In 1915, spa founder Pastor Emanuel Felke opened his naturopathic practice in Bad Sobernheim. It was he who awakened in Alfons Menschel the desire to help people with the principle “Prevention is better than cure.” Based on the traditional natural healing method, the “Felke Town” received the status of a spa town in 1995. Today, it is the only Felke spa.

For several years, Alfons Menschel assisted the famous clay pastor Emanuel Felke in the Sobernheim practice and obtained permission to treat using the special Felke healing method. Felke welcomes his decision to set up a Felke Kurhaus in the Englischer Hof. In 1928, Johanna and Alfons opened their “Felke-Jungborn Menschel” with space for around 20 guests. At this time, Felkekur only takes place outdoors during the warm season from April to October.

Even today, “clay bathes” are still carried out in the old tradition. A tract for clay applications and various therapies was recently built between the two clay baths and named “Haus Felke” after the founder of clay therapy.

The treatments of Felkekur classic are now individually tailored to your therapeutic goal and, if necessary, supplemented with proven methods of naturopathy.

Clay, light, air and water, combined with lots of exercise, relaxation and vitamin-rich “BIO Cuisine Wellness” vitalize intensely. They recharge their batteries for the challenges of everyday life.

The father of Felke Therapy knew early on how much the healing energy of clay enriches life.
