Accessibility Information

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.menschel.com

1. Our commitment to accessibility

It is important to us that our website and the services offered through it are easily accessible and usable for as many people as possible. That is why we continuously work to identify existing barriers and to further improve the accessibility of our digital services.

The following information provides an overview of how we implement the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) on our website.

2. Description of the service

On our website, we provide information about Menschels Vitalresort, our accommodation offers and our health, therapeutic fasting, Felke cure and medical wellness programmes. Users can find out about available stays and services, submit individual enquiries via digital forms and book stays online using the booking software integrated into our website. Online bookings are confirmed by email.

In particular, the website offers the following functions:

  • Information on rooms, packages and other services
  • Checking availability and prices
  • Online booking of stays via the integrated booking software
  • Submitting individual enquiries via digital forms
  • Contacting Menschels Vitalresort digitally

3. Legal requirements

The legal requirements are set out in the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV). These define requirements for the accessible design of services in electronic commerce.

4. Compliance with accessibility requirements

We continuously work to make our website and the digital services offered through it accessible and usable in accordance with the requirements of the BFSG and the BFSGV. We place particular focus on the functions and content required to enquire about and book a stay.

Various technical and content-related measures have already been implemented to improve accessibility. These include in particular:

Perceivability

  • The colours and contrasts of the website have been revised. Body text and headings meet the minimum colour contrast requirements.
  • Text alternatives are provided for images with relevant content so that it is also accessible with assistive technologies. Purely decorative images are marked accordingly and do not require a description.
  • The background video on the home page plays without sound.

Operability

The main navigation can be operated entirely by keyboard. The selected menu item or the control that currently has focus is visually highlighted.

Forms and online booking

You can send enquiries via our enquiry form and make bookings via the integrated booking software of our partner vioma. Both can largely be operated by keyboard, and the currently selected element is visibly highlighted.

The following limitations currently still apply:

  • Not all input and selection fields are clearly labelled for screen readers.
  • Required fields and error messages are not always announced by assistive technologies.
  • Some controls in the online booking cannot be reached by keyboard.

We are working with the provider of the booking software to resolve these limitations. Until then, we will be happy to take your enquiry or booking at any time by phone on +49 6751 850 or by email at info@menschel.com.

Technical structure

  • Each page has a unique main heading (H1) and its own page title.
  • The language of each page is defined in the code so that assistive technologies can interpret the content correctly.
  • The website is available in German and English.

The website is regularly checked for potential barriers and continuously improved.
