Course details
The first course takes place on Thursday, 29 January 2026. In February and March, further appointments will be held on Wednesdays, on 25 February and 25 March 2026. Further course dates are being planned.
Duration: 2 hours (15:00–17:00)
Exposure to cold: approx. 2–3 minutes (optional and individual)
Location: Natural swimming pond at Menschels Vitalresort
Costs: € 69 per person
Number of participants: 4 to max. 10 people

What to expect
A structured ice bathing experience in a safe setting:
• Introduction to the effects of cold on the body and nervous system
• Breathing techniques to prepare for and stabilise the experience
• Mental focus and conscious handling of stress reactions
• Guided self-experience in cold water
• Active and safe reheating
• Time for reflection and group discussion
Why ice bathing?
Targeted cooling applications can support wellbeing in a variety of ways:
• Strengthening stress resilience and mental clarity
• Activating and strengthening the immune system
• Promoting blood flow and cardiovascular regulation
• Boosting and balancing mood
• Increasing body awareness
• Improving inner peace and sleep quality
When combined with conscious breathing, the cold is not perceived as threatening, but rather as a powerful stimulus.
Who is the offer suitable for?
Ice bathing is aimed at healthy adults of all ages who are open to new experiences involving the body - regardless of their previous experience.
It is not recommended for people with:
• acute heart or lung diseases
• uncontrolled high blood pressure
• cold-related asthma or urticaria
• acute infections or open wounds

Participation is possible for house guests upon prior registration (up to three days before the start of the course). Places are limited.

About the instructors
Simon and Nina lead the workshops. Drawing on their experience in music, sound work, breathing, meditation and coaching, they have developed a unique approach to ice bathing. They both have many years of personal experience of engaging with coldness, mindfulness, and conscious body awareness.
Simon is a jazz musician and sound expert with extensive experience of yoga and sound trance. Nina is a management consultant and personal coach who specialises in breathwork, resilience and stress prevention.
They have both successfully completed the training to become “Chief Ice Officers®” and supervise the ice bathing experience in a professional, mindful and responsible manner.
