Menschels

Reflecting on a year of change, encounters and new ideas.

When a year comes to an end, it's time to pause. We look back at what happened and at the same time look ahead at what exciting things await our guests. 2025 was a year full of movement for Menschels Vitalresort: with new spaces, new people, familiar paths and silent goodbyes. It has shown us how valuable continuity is and that it is important to remain open to new things.

Reflecting on an eventful year

The past year was all about careful development. A visible result is that new Tannenhaus, which opened in August after just eight months of construction. A modern new building has been built where the Sonnenhaus Herren used to stand, which blends harmoniously into the Vitalresortpark. Plenty of light, natural materials and a direct connection to the surrounding parkland characterize the five ground-level rooms. The Tannenhaus is a place of arrival: quiet, spacious and deliberately minimalistic. A place that reflects what humans have always stood for: slowing down, grounding and being close to nature.

In addition to spatial development, 2025 was also primarily a year of Togetherness. Since last year, two trainees from our partner country Rwanda have been enriching our team. With openness, cordiality and great commitment, they bring new perspectives to everyday service and noticeably enrich our host culture. Especially at a time when there is much differentiation, they remind us that genuine hospitality has no limits and that learning together builds bridges that go far beyond everyday working life.

That too Team spirit was not neglected last year. A particular highlight was the summer employee event, where we visited the traditional Kirner brewery. A joint look behind the scenes of the brewing trade, a diverse tasting session and good discussions made the trip a real community experience. Such moments not only strengthen solidarity, but also shape the atmosphere that our guests experience in the house every day.

Fasting is trending

In 2025, the growing importance of our Fasting offers. In many months, fasting guests accounted for around a third of bookings, and in February even almost half. We are particularly pleased with the high number of returning guests. They appreciate the beneficial effects of Fast to Buchinger, the special peace and quiet of our house and the individual, expert support from our team. Each guest is guided through this special time with a lot of experience, attention and empathy. This trust makes us happy and strengthens us at the same time.

However, the year also had its quiet, thoughtful moments. With great gratitude and deep respect, we from Hanna Menschel and Dr. Thea Menschel Saying goodbye. They have shaped Menschels Vitalresort for decades.

Hanna Menschel was a passionate cook and gardener. As a chef, she spoiled generations of guests with her recipes, her sense for good ingredients and her deep connection to nature. She grew vegetables and herbs in her own garden, often early in the morning when it was still quiet in the hotel park.

As a senior physician, Dr. Thea Menschel continued her father's vision of holistic medicine with great passion. The dedicated general practitioner had a lasting impact on the self-image of our company. It combined the focus on naturopathy, homeopathy and therapeutic fasting with Felke clay applications, vegetarian nutrition and sustainable living as well as a conscious stay in healthy nature to form an all-encompassing therapy.

Both women remain inextricably linked to human history — and to the values that still guide us today.

Looking forward to the coming year

At the same time, 2025 was a year full of new ideas. With”Menschels Moments” A format has been created that makes our vital concept tangible beyond the stay for the first time. In short podcasts and video sequences, our team of doctors is now regularly providing well-founded and everyday ideas on the topics of health, well-being and a mindful lifestyle. It's about small but effective moments: tips for regeneration, nutrition, exercise and inner balance — straight from the Vitalresortpark, authentic, understandable and practical. The series is constantly being expanded and invites people to live a bit further at home.

With all these impressions, we are looking forward to 2026, which for us is marked by development with a sense of proportion. We are looking forward to new impulses, more exercise, inspiring activities and additional offers that bring body and mind into harmony. Our values remain unchanged: personal support, time for people and a holistic view of health.

We would like to thank our team for their commitment, passion and solidarity. We would also like to thank our guests for their trust, loyalty and the many encounters that made this year so special. We are looking forward to the new year together with confidence and great anticipation.
