Walking barefoot calms your nervous system

Did you know that every step activates over 200,000 nerve endings in your feet? Walking barefoot promotes stimulus processing, activates your autonomic nervous system and has even been shown to reduce stress. We call this grounding, in the truest sense of the word. Your body is reorienting itself.

Natural training for muscles & joints

Without supportive footwear, the foot muscles are strengthened, balance is improved, and the joints are stabilised. Walking barefoot is therefore an ideal way to prevent misalignments and pain.

Stimulating blood flow

Direct contact with cold or uneven surfaces has a similar effect to a Kneipp foot treatment. This causes the blood vessels to contract and expand again, thereby strengthening blood circulation and the cardiovascular system.

Activating lymphatic flow

Stimulating the soles of the feet in combination with movement stimulates lymphatic flow. This is important for detoxification and the immune system.

Improving posture

Walking barefoot naturally encourages people to stand more upright, move more slowly and be more aware of their posture. This promotes healthy posture and relieves back and neck pain.

Grounding and mental deceleration

Walking barefoot connects us to nature in the truest sense. Studies show that 'earthing', or physical contact with the earth, can lower cortisol levels, improve sleep quality, and boost overall well-being.
